Tallinn University Alumni Female Choir Helia

is simultaneously new and also not that young collective – formed in the autumn of 2014, it consists of the former singers of the Tallinn University Female Choir. Female Choir Helia has taken part of the advent concerts of the Estonian Female Song Society, the project dedicated to the 20th anniversary of the Estonian Female Song Society and on the concert tour in St. Petersburg. In addition, the choir is organizing on their own, but also with friendship choirs, several concerts from which the most important one is the annual spring concert. In the spring of 2016 the choir took part of the XIII Estonian Competition for Chamber Choirs in Jõhvi (B-category chamber female choir II Prize) and in the April of 2017 the international 20th “Raduga” Choir Competition in St. Petersburg (bronze diploma).

LINDA KARDNA

is a senior conductor, who has worked as a choir leader for over forty years. Between 1972-1989 she was the Rapla Consumer Cooperative chief conductor, between 1989-1998 the chief conductor of Rapla mixed choir Cantus and between 1975-2013 she was the chief conductor of the Tallinn Pedagogical University / Tallinn University female choir.
