Tiia Tenno
is a graduate of the Tartu H. Eller’s Music School (piano), and of the EAMT (organ). From 1992-1995 she complimented her studies in Germany, where she graduated from the Herford’s Higher Church Music School. She has also taken part in many organ master classes (B. Haas, W. Zerer, J. Laukvik, A. Marconi, P. van Dijk and E. Kooimann). Since 1996 she has worked as the St John’s Tallinn Congregation organist and choirmaster, she is also one of the founders of the St John’s Church Organ Fund and a member of the board. Tiia Tenno has cooperated with many outstanding soloists and given solo recitals in Germany, Finland, Sweden and Estonia, many times at the Tallinn International Organ Festival. As a soloist she has performed with the Estonian-Finnish Baroque Orchestra and the Tallinn Chamber Orchestra.
Neeme Ots
was born in Tallinn and started to play the trumpet at the age of six under the guidance of his father Aavo Ots. In 2007 he began his studies at the Sibelius Academy and graduated in 2011 with a Bachelor’s degree. As of autumn 2011 he has proceeded there with his Master’s studies with Simo Rantanen. In 2013 he studied within the Erasmus program with prof. Enrique Rioja-Liz in the Madrid Conservatory. Neeme Ots has won several prizes at national and international competitions and has attended the master classes of Neeme Birk, Manuel Blanco Gómez-Limón, Adan Delgado Illada, Reinhold Friedrich, Maurice André, Johann Gansh and others. He has performed as a soloist with the Tallinn Chamber Orchestra, the Polish Chamber Philharmonic Orchestra and many others and has participated as principal trumpet in several prestigious youth orchestras: World-wide Youth Brass Band, German- Scandinavian Symphony Orchestra, Baltic Youth Symphony Orchestra and the Symphony Orchestra of Sibelius Academy. He has performed with the above mentioned orchestras at the Abu Dhabi Emirates Palace, at the Finlandia-Talo and Musiikkitalo in Helsinki, at the Berliner Philharmonie and several other concert halls of Europe. Neeme Ots has collaborated as a freelance several times with the Spanish National Orchestra, the European Royal Ensemble and the Madrid Philarmonic Orchestra. He has also performed at the International Trumpet Days in Tallinn, Tallinn Music Week and in the Estonian Concert Agency ‘s project “Young Talents”.
